Maharashtra Mah Class XII board Results 2012

The boycott of paper assessment by teachers of non-grant junior colleges won’t delay the results of the Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) examination of the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (MSBSHSE). Students who appeared for the Class XII board can expect the results on or before May 27, the date the results were declared last year, Board officials have said.

It was feared that results will be delayed as more than 21,000 teachers across the state teaching at non-grant junior colleges had boycotted paper assessment of HSC exams that began on February 21.

While teachers are still protesting, Sarjerao Jadhav, Chairman, MSBSHSE, confirmed that it will not affect results in any way. “We are trying our best to get papers assessed on time. Last year, results were declared on May 27. As of now, we can say results will be declared on or before the same date and will not be delayed,” said Jadhav.

Explaining how the boycott won’t affect assessment, Shahji Dhekne, Secretary, MSBSHSE said, “It is true that the boycott is on. However, a very small percentage of teachers have participated in it. The papers are being assessed on time and we do not expect any delay. In fact, we are trying to declare it at soon as we can.

It is difficult to give an exact date but the picture will be clearer by May 15.”

“Evaluating answersheets is part of the teacher’s duty and no teacher has really ignored that. We had teachers from aided colleges as well many teachers from unaided ones who willingly evaluated papers due to which we are confident that results won’t be delayed,” added Dhekne.
