VHSE Admissions 2012 News
THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Admissions to the vocational higher secondary schools in the state will be made using single window system from this academic year onwards. Last year the facility was piloted in the city and Kollam and it would be extended across the state, Education Minister P K Abdu Rabb said.

Stressing the point that the government does not intend to shut down the VHSE schools soon, the prospectus for VHSE admissions were released along with the announcement of SSLC examination results on Thursday by the Minister.

An exclusive software developed by National Informatic Centre (NIC) would be used for the facility. The district school principals, academic heads, clerks, IT coordinators and IT teachers have been given training in using the facility by dividing them into clusters. The facility would enable students and parents to learn about the admissions from a single point.

The Minister said that the applications for admissions to VHSE schools could be collected from any VHSE school and the duly filled applications could be submitted to any VHSE school, making the process simple. A single application would be used for admissions to any school and any course.
