A day after class XII science results were announced, the Admission Committee for Professional Courses (ACPC) kick started the procedure for admission with distribution of booklets on Friday, officials said, adding that the PIN of the booklets can be obtained from the branches of Punjab National Bank.
ACPC announced the schedule where in students can keep booklets with them till June 6. Also an online registration and submission of the filled registration forms will start from May 14. The last date to register is June 6.
As the admission process began, posters of a helpline website could be seen pasted all over the Gujarat Technological University (GTU) building. Students can get help from the website in finding universities affiliated to the GTU.
The poster of the website - gtuadmissionhelpline.com - has information regarding the number of institutes, seats and location of college among other things. The website also shares details of courses in engineering, diploma, degree and masters, medical, hotel management, architecture, pharmacy, MBA and MCA.
However, when students made calls to the contact numbers given in the pamphlets, they learnt that the website is being operated by private company and the GTU officials did not have any information on the same.
