The Maharashtra State Board of Secondary Education, Pune has finally announced Maharashtra SSC result (10th class) 2012 today. The Board had, on May 25, declared the HSC Examination (class 12) Results.
The Board came into existence on January 1, 1966 to regulate matters pertaining to secondary education in Maharashtra. The act was amended in 1977 and the name of the Board changed to - The Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education.
An important task of the Board is to conduct the SSC and HSC examinations. The exams are conducted in March and the results are declared in June.
The exams are conducted throughout Maharashtra and students studying in the Government-run High Schools are required to give this examination for Secondary Education, for which the admission is given on merit basis.
