APPLICATIONS ARE INVITED IN THE PRESCRIBED FORMAT FOR THE POST OF ASSISTANT PROFESSOR (ENGLISH JOURNALISM) ON CONTRACT BASIS.
No. of Post: 06 ( Two each for Amravati, Jammu and Kottayam)

Qualification:
Good academic record with at least 55% marks or equivalent grade where grading system is practiced at the Master’s Degree level in Mass communication/Journalism or related subject from an Indian University, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university.
Besides fulfilling the above qualifications, the candidate should have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) or similar test accredited by the UGC.
Holders of Ph. D. degree as on the date of notification of these regulations along with those candidates who are awarded a Ph. D. Degree through a process of admission, registration, course work and external evaluation as have been/or may be laid down by UGC through its regulations, shall be exempted from NET.
Job requirement:
To teach students of PG Diploma, English Journalism, including practical training, liaison with media industry and professionals. Coordination with the Special Officer of the Regional Centre for arranging Seminars/ inviting experts and guest faculty as and when required.
Age: Below 40 years as on last date of receipt of application.
Remuneration: Rs.35,000/- per month consolidated.
Terms & conditions:
Employment will be purely on temporary and contract basis initially for one year. Services may be terminated at any time without assigning any reason by giving one month notice on either side or payment of one month salary in lieu of notice period by the Institute.
This engagement is not against any regular sanctioned post and does not confer any right to claim for regularization.
