UK Exhibition at Hotel Vivanta by Taj here on Saturday

British Council is organising an Education UK Exhibition at Hotel Vivanta by Taj here on Saturday from 1 pm to 6pm. Entry is free.

British Council, which is the UK’s international organisation for education and cultural relations, is hosting the exhibition for the second time in the capital city.

Students and parents will have opportunities to meet representatives from the UK institutions and find out the range of subjects, courses, information on student visas and scholarships like Jubilee scholarships (September 2012 entry).

Jubilee scholarships will be awarded to 60 Indian students interested in studying one-year master’s degree in manufacturing, science and technology or management.

Funded by British Council and the UK government, each scholarship would cover tuition fee, living expenses, international airfares and visa fee.

UK is among the most popular study destinations that Indian students choose for international education.

More than 50,000 Indian students are studying in the UK.

International students qualify for discounts on travel, entertainment and health care.

Participating institutions are: University of Bedfordshire, University of East London, London Metropolitan University, Manchester Metropolitan University, Plymouth University, University College Plymouth St Mark and St John, Sheffield Hallam University, Swansea University and University of West London.
