KATHMANDU: Teletalk Pvt Ltd, the authorised distributor of BlackBerry mobile for Nepal, launched five new models — BlackBerry Curve 9300, Curve 9360, Curve 9380, Bold 9790, and Torch 9810 — in the domestic market last week.Geeta Neupane, marketing manager of the company, says, “We introduced different models simultaneously to target varied customer groups at the same time. The Curves are focused at youths and executive group because of their lower prices, whereas Bold and Torch is for corporate strata. However, BlackBerry lovers can use any model according to their convenience.”According to her, BlackBerry Curve 9300, Curve 9360, Curve 9380, Bold 9790, and Torch 9810 are priced at Rs 26,250, Rs 34,540, Rs 35,995, Rs 50,395, Rs 52,095 respectively in the Nepali market. The Curve 9360 and 9380, Bold 9790 and Torch 9810 are colour display touch screen phones with features such as high resolution camera with LED flash digital zoom, long hours of standby and talk time, integrated GPS, Wi-Fi, GSM, EDGE, GPRS, high storage capacity and expandable memory up to 32 GB. Similarly, Curve 9300 boasts of colour display, 2MP camera with fixed focus, battery talk time up to 4.5 hours and standby time up to 19 days, memory of 256MB RAM and 256MB ROM along with expandable memory up to 32 GB.Neupane informs that BlackBerry smartphones come with six months warranty on their battery and charger and a year on their software, which is backed by qualified Telecare clinic service available at New Road.
